Tours & Treks - Ladakh with Pangong Lake
Situated at an altitude of 4,350 meters above sea level, Pangong Lake lies in the northeast of Leh. This famous blue blackish lake of Pangong is 5-6 km wide and over 144 km long with half of it running to the other side of the Indo-China border.
The placid Pangong Lake is not just a tourists paradise but a geologist’s domain too and if one is to brush up with political history, the place is a melting pot of confusion and for sure it in no fun for the army in the biting cold to take care of the strategic landscape.
Travelers enjoy the solitude for a day or two, zoom their cameras to shoot the black necked Siberian crane around the Mahe marshes which are the only breeding ground for these migratory birds. At times they are seen swarming in the cool colourful water of the lake. If one has boating in mind, one is heading for disappointment.

Day 01:Leh
On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met with our representative at the airport and transfer you to hotel. Complete day for the acclimatization which is 3500 Mts. From Sea level. In the evening explore the local market. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02:Leh – Monasteries
Morning after breakfast visit to Thiksey monastery for morning prayer. Continue drive to Hemis monastery which is one of the most famous monastery of the Ladakh region. On the way back visit to Shey Palace. overnight at hotel.
Day 03:Leh / Alchi / Uletokpo (75 kms)
Morning after breakfast leave for Uletokpo camping which is one of the most beautiful camping in the Ladakh region on the way visit Spituk monastery which is just 05 kms. from Leh town. Continue drive to Alchi monastery is the only monastery in the Ladakh on flat ground. By the lunch time you will reach Ulrtokpo. Evening enjoy to sit on the bank of the river coming down from the Ridzong side. overnight at Camp.
Day 04:Uletokpio / Lamayuru / Leh (180 Kms.)
Morning after breakfast drive to Lamayuru via Khaltsi, continue drive to Lamayuru. The oldest and spectacularly set
Lamayuru monastery founded in the 10th Century, visit the monastery. In the afternoon drive back to Leh on the back
we stop at magnetic hill. overnight at hotel.
Day 05:Leh / Khardongla Pass / Leh (85 Kms.)
Morning after breakfast full day excursion to Khardongla Pass which is the highest memorable pass in the world (5600 Mtrs.) and has been recorded in the Gunnies book of world records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow capped mountain. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06:Leh / Panagong Lake / Leh (290Kms.)
Leave early morning at 5 AM to Pangong Lake through Changla pass (5486 Mtrs.). while ascending Changlla pass. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to thee western shore of the Lake. Enjoy the landscape on the backdrop of the lake. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half of its running the other side. of the “ INDO CHIANA BORDER”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the Scenery is unforgettable. In the late afternoon drive back to Leh. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07:Leh / Delhi
Transfer in time to the airport to catch flight for onwards destination.
